About this artwork

I created this commission in 2021 and it was my 4th Original artwork! I was approached with a wide remit for producing a drawing of a Great White or Megalodon Shark for a friends Son.

I researched this wonderful creature and found what I thought were interesting references and then created my own composition with 3 separate images in photoshop (Credit Unknown). I then proceeded to replicate my creation on A2 size, Daler Rowney Fine Grain Cartridge paper, which I hadnt used before. This type of piece was completely new to me, so initially I didnt know how I was going to create it! I decided to try a mixed media piece, combining Graphite and Charcoal, to obtain the depth of tones that I wanted to achieve. I was so delighted with the outcome, it took 20 hours to complete and I am very pleased to say, it was so well received by my client who reported;
