My latest piece, completed in July 2021, and drawn with Graphite & Charcoal pencils, blocks and sticks. This took me 20 hours to complete, was a total experiment as I hadn't previously approached this type of underwater feel to a drawing. Graphite: H, B, 2B, 3B, 4B, 6B, 8B / G. Sticks: B & Charcoal Pencils: Soft, Medium, Hard / C. Sticks: 2B, 4B, 6B. Blending stumps & brushes, kneaded eraser and mono eraser.
The sunray effect streaming through the water actually came out better than I'd expected. My favourite part of this drawing, in terms of the result, is the seabed as I love how it looks like sand, which is what I was hoping for.
