Dance is a painting of raw elemental force — a collision of fire and shadow that crackles with energy from top to bottom. Tall, flame-like forms in burnt orange, amber, and deep red surge upward from a golden ground, their jagged edges catching the light like torched reeds or autumn grasses ablaze at dusk.
Below, a tangle of dark, expressive marks in deep violet, magenta, and teal writhe and twist against the warm glow — organic and almost creature-like, as though the undergrowth is alive with movement, resisting the heat above. The contrast between the luminous, sun-drenched upper half and the shadowed, gestural lower section gives the work a powerful sense of drama and tension.
