Krill is a painting alive with perpetual motion — a dense, luminous tangle of stems, petals, and darting forms that fills the canvas from edge to edge with irrepressible energy. Tiny star-shaped blooms in red, orange, and yellow scatter across a ground of swirling teal, pink, lavender, and cream, like wildflowers caught in a warm current or bioluminescent creatures drifting through shallow water.
Slender stems arc and cross in every direction, their dark lines threading through the colour like notation on a musical score. The background pulses with movement — soft spirals and sweeping strokes suggest both garden and ocean, meadow and reef, the boundary between the two delightfully blurred.
The title nods to the smallest, most vital creatures in the ecosystem, and the painting shares that quality — intricate, abundant, and essential.
