Gilded Current surges with the force and drama of a river in full spate. A blazing horizon of molten gold and amber crowns the composition, while below, a tumultuous mass of white, olive, and dark green forms churn and roll like breaking waves or stampeding forms caught mid-motion. Deep crimson and teal swell at the base, rich and weighted, anchoring the turbulence above.
The brushwork is sweeping and muscular — great arcs and coils of paint applied with confidence and speed, conveying momentum and raw physical energy. There is something both natural and mythological about Gilded Current: it evokes flood plains, harvest fields, and the unstoppable force of water or wind through landscape.
