"Hare at Dawn" captures a quiet moment as a hare pauses and looks directly towards us, surrounded by the soft, natural colours of its early morning habitat.
There is something wonderfully calm and captivating about hares. Their stillness, alertness and gentle presence can create a sense of peace that is often found when we take the time to observe animals in their natural surroundings. I wanted to capture not only the hare’s beautiful colouring and character, but also that feeling of stillness and connection with nature.
For me, wildlife artwork is about more than capturing an accurate likeness. It is about conveying something of the animal’s spirit and allowing the viewer to pause for a moment and appreciate the quiet beauty of the natural world.
