"Snowmen and Secrets" captures one of those simple childhood moments that can become a treasured memory. Inspired by a photograph taken by a friend one winter morning, the piece shows two sisters perched on the back of the sofa, drawing snowmen together in the condensation on the window!
There is something wonderfully innocent about the scene — the excitement of winter, two sisters absorbed in their own little world, and the simple joy of turning a misty window into a canvas.
As adults, it is often these small, everyday moments that we remember most fondly. The whispered conversations, shared secrets and quiet adventures of childhood can stay with us long after the moment itself has passed.
Through "Snowmen and Secrets" I wanted to capture that sense of innocence, connection and nostalgia — a fleeting moment of childhood that many of us can recognise and perhaps remember in our own way.
