This work is an exploration of the contrast between architectural stillness and the raw energy of the coastline. The piece features a sky created with a blended acrylic technique, transitioning through soft yellows and purples to capture the hazy light of a coastal evening. In direct contrast to the smooth sky, I utilised expressive, rhythmic brushstrokes to render the sea. By applying thick, white highlights over layers of deep blue, I aimed to convey the chaotic spray and power of waves breaking against the rocky cliffs. The lighthouse stands as a calm focal point, rendered with clean lines to ground the composition amidst the movement of the elements
