BLACK is an original textured mixed media painting and the first artwork from my THE GEOMETRY OF COLOUR series.
This series explores the relationship between colour, geometry and texture. In BLACK, I chose a restrained palette of black, grey and neutral tones, allowing the geometric forms and layered textured surface to become the main focus.
The painting was created through multiple layers of texture, colour, shading and hand-painted details. Geometric lines, circles and irregular marks interact across the surface, creating contrast between structured forms and raw, organic texture.
From a distance, BLACK has a strong graphic presence. As you move closer, the surface reveals more — subtle colour variations, shadows, rough textures, small marks and imperfections created during the painting process.
The result is a contemporary geometric wall art piece that works beautifully in modern, minimalist, industrial, Japandi and sophisticated neutral interiors.
I wanted BLACK to feel bold without being overwhelming — a statement piece that becomes part of the space rather than simply decorating it.
