I was introduced to graphite sticks, which produced rich velvety blacks, by someone in the Print Department of Sheffield College of Art. The paper is special also: my Dad gave me the last remaining sheets of a pack he had bought as Leeds University Medical illustrator. He’d tried buying more but unfortunately the Kent based company had ceased trading. No other paper i’ve tried since produce the same quality.
