An acrylic fantasy. This started off as a study of tree roots and bark. Then there appeared to be a crocodile-like creature emerging as I painted - a small root looked to me like a claw - and there was a knot which could be an eye. I seemed to be witnessing a metamorphosis, so I gave in and made the most of it!
