In fairy tales a dragon is invariably associated with gold - stealing it, hoarding it, sleeping on it, or just enjoying the possession of it. This is a rather thin, spiky dragon whom I drew from an old blue and white Chinese plate and coloured with imagination to better fit the part.
For the gold I used acrylic gold paint and metallic foil and Schminke gold powder which I mixed with acrylic medium.
