This painting began as someone else. I thought I was painting a being between forms, but slowly, without deciding it, she started to borrow from me.
My eyes appeared first, then my smile. And suddenly she wasn’t just someone out there, she was a version of me I hadn’t met yet.
She’s not exactly a self-portrait, more like a possibility of self — softer, freer, unapologetically radiant.
It’s a work about transformation, identity, and the joy of blooming into who we are.
