The Guardian of the Wild,

What we leave behind, nature finds a way to make its own.
An old chair becomes a resting place. Slowly, the wild moves in, reminding us that the world was never truly ours, only temporarily entrusted to us.
I painted The Guardian of the Wild as a study of optical colour mixing during my Art Mastery Program.
The bear sits calmly in a chair reclaimed by the forest, becoming a quiet symbol of nature's resilience, sovereignty, and ability to reclaim what we leave behind.
This bear has strength, but also stillness. It is not simply guarding the wild; it seems to be reminding us that the wild was here before us, and will remain after us.
