"Yellow Brick Road" is painted in acrylics, on canvas,
suitable perhaps for a child's bedroom or nursery.It was inspired by vivid memories of seeing the MGM classic film "The wizard of Oz" for the first time .I was very young and it scared me so much I ran out of the cinema pursued by an angry older brother and an irritated Mother who very much wanted to see the film! But when I saw and heard the Wicked Witch of the West with her green scary face and cackling laugh riding across the sky on her bike that was just too much! Now I rate it as one of my most beloved films, full of memories for me.My painting shows a silvery moon gazing down on the yellow brick road winding up to not the Emerald City, but a cosy cottage, and thankfully, no Wicked Witch in sight! The work comes with a signed certificate of authenticity by the Artist.
