During Oxfordshire Artweeks 2024, I happened to wander through Radcliffe Square in Oxford and found myself in amongst a collective of bikers and their bikes. All that modern shiny chrome set against the stone of the classic architecture in the background made for an intriguing juxtaposition, so I decided to commit the scene to canvas. I wasn't so sure it was a good idea when it came to tackling all those wheels, handlebars and helmets, but I'm very pleased with the final result.
