This soft pastel study of the first daffodils which started to appear in the shops at the end of January as a sign of coming Spring! Their bright colour made me feel better in the winter gloom and I wanted to catch their freshness and happiness on the paper. This is a quick emotional study of these first spring flowers that bring us hope and happiness.
