I create original artwork from my studio at Lansbury Business Estate in Woking England. I use a range of mediums; primarily oils, resin, ink and pastels.
Prior to becoming a professional artist in 2014, I was a Surrey-based teacher of Art and Design for over 13 years. I studied Fine Art and English at the University of Wales and completed my postgraduate certificate in education at the University of Cambridge. I am President of Woking Art Society and I was chairperson for the Woking Art Society from 2015 to 2018.
I really enjoy painting the outdoors, in particular, the art of plein air painting, which comes from the French “en plein air,” meaning “in the open air.”
I have helped to set up and collaborate with the Surrey Hills Plein Air Painters and have participated in events such as Norfolk and Norwich Paint Outs, Cambridge Paint Out, A Brush with the Broads, Art in the Open Ireland, London Plein Air Painters and Windsor Paint Outs.
My work continues to be recognised Internationally, nationally and locally through gallery exhibitions, competition wins and industry recognition. I was a featured artist in the Artist & Illustrators (Magazine) 2024, 2019 Calendar for my 2018 works 'Rue de comedie', 'Monetary Moment', ‘Crabbing, British Seaside’. Featured Artist with 'In or Out'.
