One of my first portrait paintings, acrylic on board on one side, an oil painting experiment with linseed oil on the other. For 20 years it say on top of the door architrave between the kitchen and dinning room at my parents house; nobody ever passed any comment on it. I have always had mixed feelings about it, partly proud in a "i can do this" kind of way and part humiliation at how poor it is. I cannot imagine anyone would want a print of it, but that sort of sums up my slight bafflement at the whole thing of selling art. ( Thus, probably confirming that a pleb am I at heart?) Ho hum. It is an early part ify journey, and to me that is the enjoyment, the doing.
