My only formal training in art was a one year crash Higher Art at school in the 1960s followed around 30 years later by Life Drawing and Portrait Classes in the Mackintosh building of Glasgow School of Art. Throughout a varied career, my main artistic outlet was photography, but in 2022, after retiring, I attended a watercolour class to rekindle my artistic interest. Membership of a local art club followed, and I have since worked in watercolour, charcoal and acrylics.
