Wayne Howard-Saunders, also known as "The Painless Artist" is a British artist.

I have always created from an early age and explored different mediums. I have been intrigued for years of the late English painter Edgar Bundy and purchased his work in 2016 as my late nan was related to him and lived in Kentish Town, London. For many years I used to hear stories of his work, The Tate Museum, flood damage to his artwork but now fully appreciate his contribution to British Art as I've got older...so art is in our blood so to speak !

I'm educated in Art & Design, Product/ Industrial Design and a MA in Digital Practices. In 2001 my work morphed into Digital work mainly Adobe but suffered a lower spinal injury and drifted away from the traditional arts for many years.

I'm pleased my artwork has been displayed in the home of someone who sung a duet with the late George Michael. Thus bringing me back to appreciate how art can stimulate emotion, feeling and self-confidence. I'm thankful a GP referal for art therapy has helped me to get creative again, enjoy art and anything visual to help me focus, motivate, distract myself from central chronic pain, MSK and multiple spinal injuries.
I'm now making art when I can due to neurological changes so adapting my mediums and style's to best suit my ability. I'm always looking for inspiration from Artists & Illustrators publications and social media to keep up the dose of visual stimulation and great artwork out there.

My future artwork will reflect on anatomy, surrealism, pain, disability, humour with the added challenge of interpreting colour due to strong colour blindness.
Hence the creation of The Painless Artist.
