I started doodling when I was a toddler and have never stopped! I attended a graphics course at Harrogate College of Art & Adult Studies (freezing winters and boiling summers in portacabins). The course was a little bit of everything: photography, screen printing, type setting & printing, life drawing and technical drawing. The course gave me a good grounding for a lot more years of doodling and trying different mediums. Now I'm happy that, when inspired, I can create something to be proud of. My Great Aunt was my inspiration. She taught Art & Needlework at Bradford College for girls in the 1920's. If I have a finger nail of her talent I'll be happy. My favourite medium is now acrylics, usually with a lot of fine detail. I prefer to paint or draw commission pieces, I can't churn pictures out en masse, although I do enjoy painting pictures of animals or nature just to please me, occassionally straying into cartoonlike pictures! (Some of my pictures are in my maiden name)
