This painting is inspired by the quote from the bible. “If you can?” Said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.” Mark 9:23. Thinking about giving people hope when asking and praying for healing. I have done this painting during the time building up to Holy Week. I wanted light to be important in this portrait to represent Jesus ‘being’ healing light. Using brushes, a pallet knife and splattering around the figure as if he is amongst the chaos but blurring the noise into the background.
