I deal with various visual arts such as textural painting (close to low relief) and assemblage. In the process of creation I use various materials (wood, plaster, recyclable materials), various media and objects. Every time I absorb myself to connect different techniques, to experiment with the consistency of paint, I am inspired by the substance and uniqueness of material, which is at disposal at the moment of creation. For me the process of creating is the search area and some kind of dialogue with the matter.
In my interest area there’s also graphic printing. My favourite techniques are:
- drypoint
- monotyping
- collography (intaglio printmaking)
- mixed techniques
I put the finishing touches to some of my projects with ink, pastels or pencils.
Furthermore, I am interested in spaces of permeating visual arts and literature. Written text is autonomic, but it has its graphic form as well, is able to manage as a fabric, rhythmical order which has an impact, but does not refer to the meaning. An engaging aspect is also the way in which visuality affects the text meaning.
In the scope of visual arts I am basically self-taught. I graduated from Polish Philology at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń with specialization in theatrology, I fathomed literary studies at the same faculty.
Rekwizytornia Drzew (Trees Prop Room) is my artistic studio with exhibition purposes.
