Inspired by the beauty of his native Cork coast and by the sea about it, Tom spends his time when not painting either on the sea in boats or beneath, as a scuba diver. Tom Browne is a former student of the Crawford Art College. He has been in love with the sea since he was a boy and began to take interest in its incredible beauty over the years while swimming, sailing, diving and overlooking the stunning sunsets from the water, where most of his sketching is done.
This unique knowledge of his subject allows Tom to capture the very essence of the light, colour and atmosphere of the sea in all its various moods and the beauty of the ever changing skies that colour the sea, beaches and coastal villages around us.
Not content to paint beautiful seascapes above the surface he also follows the light beneath the waves to share the beauty of the underwater world with all who buy his paintings.
