Hi Art lovers * Welcome to my Art Gallery at Artists and Illustrators * Simon Knott

I'm wild about wildlife and nature because I was born in the ancient woodland of Wyre Forest near Bewdley town in the beautiful countryside of Worcestershire by the River Severn and have spent most of my creative life in the Wyre Forest area... which has a diverse collection of Birds and Wildlife and these are my greatest inspiration for my Art.

I studied Art at Hereford College of Art & Design and the University of Central England, Birmingham, where I received a B.A. (Hons) in Design. I have won two UK design awards including * British Design in Japan * for a Citizen watch design and Heals of London Award for Furniture.

My early career was as an Artist and Designer for Schools, which included designing and creating educational equipment, murals and kinder-boxes with exciting fantasy and story time pictures. I have also designed and crafted very large 3D Animal Bookcases... including Dragons, Lions, Elephants, Rockets, Castles and my local Wyre Forest Wildlife.

I now enjoy Pure Fine Art and the creation of Bird, Bee and Wildlife Art in all mediums * Oils, Acrylics, Watercolours, Pastels and Pencils. I have taken many digital photographs and videos of the local wild animals and insects in the Wyre Forest and they are my greatest inspiration.

I also love painting people and pet portraits and one of my models is my wild Bengal mix cat called Gigi * and she says Meooow =^.^=
