Born in 1962 I spent most of my life in Yorkshire before moving to Derbyshire in 2003. Following an art and design foundation I undertook a Degree in Three Dimensional Design at Sheffield University. After some time working as a Jewellery Designer and Silversmith I started teaching Art in 1990. I now juggle Art teaching, producing portrait commissions and developing my own more creative and expressive art work.
I enjoy the challenges of creating portraits although I also produce landscape and still life paintings. I regularly attend life drawing classes and experiment with new techniques and media (although this work is usually kept for my own viewing only).
