Pete is a Bristol based figurative painter and BAFTA-winning television producer whose work explores moments of stillness, human connection and quiet storytelling through oil paint.
Drawing on more than twenty-five years in high-end television production, including work on Doctor Who, Black Mirror, Casualty, Planet Earth and Walking with Dinosaurs. Pete brings a cinematic sense of composition, atmosphere and emotional presence to his paintings.
Working primarily in oils on board and canvas, Pete’s narrative figurative work often captures moments that feel intimate, reflective and slightly unresolved. Through gesture, light and composition, he aims to create paintings that invite viewers to bring their own interpretation to the story unfolding within the frame.
Pete’s recent work was selected for the RBSA Portrait Prize Exhibition 2026 and he continues to develop a growing body of narrative figurative paintings alongside selected portrait commissions.
