I worked and lived in North Lincolnshire until 2014, when I moved to Retford in North Nottinghamshire. Although I’ve always had a passion for art I hadn’t been able to pursue it properly until I took early retirement from my work in Social Care in 2013.
As a self taught artist my subject matter has gradually evolved and narrowed down to portraiture and figurative painting. I mainly work in oils, water colours and pastels.
Artistic influences: Nicholai Fechin, Joan Eardley, Christian Hook, Edgar Degas, Mary Cassat.
