PAOLO FRANCIS

After 5 years of study, Paolo graduated from Art College in 1984, and began work as an Illustrator and Graphic Designer for various agencies.

As a designer, Paolo was a member of the Chartered Society of Designers and was awarded a commendation from the Institute of Packaging for one of his designs.

Paolo has worked on many design projects for advertising agencies. Among the clients were:- Amoco, Christian Aid, Royal Sun Alliance and Cambridge University Press.

To fulfill his passion for painting, Paolo became a freelance Illustrator and Fine Artist.
He produced illustrations for educational books and supplied Galleries with his oil paintings.
His weekly work schedule would vary from working on a commercial illustration, painting a commissioned portrait or painting landscapes for an Art Dealer.

In 1997 he opened ?Paolo Francis Gallery? in South Croydon and now teaches Art to aspiring artists in three art classes.

Paolo has exhibited his work at:-

Gagliardi Design and Contemporary Art, Kings Road, London;
The Mint Gallery and Landgate Gallery, Rye. (solo exhibitions);
The Elliott Gallery, Devon; The Edward Ash Gallery, Orpington, Kent;
The Society of Miniature Painters, Westminster, London;
Sutton and Bromley Libraries (solo exhibitions).
