I use the name 'Erica Johns' when painting. Have longed to concentrate on art since a child, but was waylayed by a career as an opera singer and, latterly, actress. Retired to care for a poorly husband who passed away in 2006. Since then have been able to indulge my passion for art.
First love is oils, but also enjoy watercolour, acrylic, pastel, collage and anything that comes by.
Supposedly 'self-taught', but had a brother artist and have learnt much from demos, books and films.
