I am an artist based in Cornwall and I am inspired by the beautiful countryside and the beauty of nature surrounded by me. My aim is to create pieces where I can celebrate with colours and explore the flowers and showing time and day.
I have studied A level Art, Photography and Textiles and I trying to fulfill my dream of becoming a professional artist.
I work mostly with acrylics where I can express rich palette of colours and form, and do a few pieces in watercolours and oils.
The first paintings I have explored splashing paint onto the canvas and sketching out lines using a biro to reveal the subject showing a contrast between colours and line.
The later paintings I have experimented making the colours stand out more and drawing attention the layers of paint to create realism. For example, “Hedge growth” I applied layers of paint to gain the same quality and roundess of the plant in front of me.
