I like to express through my paintings how we interact with the space around us: our actions, our thoughts and emotions. I want the viewer to question. In Empty Chair, the woman’s sadness is evident not only in her demeanour but in her room, the view from the window and of course, the empty chair… who sat there? Will the person ever return?
