I am a self-taught artist living in the Beara Peninsula, West Cork, Ireland. I am influenced by the beautiful landscape surrounding me, what with seashore, mountains, woods and rocky terrain, I am spoilt for choice. My biggest problem is procrastinating – where to start – such vistas (even from my studio window) cry to be painted. The ever-changing weather, moods and seasons help me create different light and perspective in my art. I work primarily in watercolour but use gouache, acrylic and oil depending on the subject. My main source of income for the last few years has been in commissions and printing cards from my paintings.
