I find inspiration in unexpected places, shying away from the picturesque in favour of the edge-lands and in-between places that are often overlooked. I'm also drawn to wild places such as rugged moorlands and coastal areas that are beautifully bleak and sculpted by the elements. I love a place with a story to tell. Still-life is another aspect of my work with a fascination for the mundane and the everyday objects that surround us.
I was born in Lincolnshire but have lived and worked in Manchester since 1996 and graduated from the University of Bolton in 2009 with a degree in Fine Art.
