Louise Bougourd

I have lived and worked in Devon for many years and adore the diverse, dramatic landscape along with the changeable weather conditions which result in exciting and challenging opportunities to the artist. I use watercolour paints to capture the essence of a scene, and, because I love the way the paint is unpredictable particularly if you are painting en plein air. My work is mostly representative but, I do like to paint fast and loose occasionally to enjoy the drama as paint moves and creates vibrant images.I have over 15 years experience of teaching, and love to share the joy and passion I have for this fabulous medium.
