Kristine Nason is a multidisciplinary artist based in southern England and a full member of both the Society of Women Artists and the Society of Equestrian Artists.
Her current practice centres on her Ghana Narratives—a vivid, story‑rich body of work shaped by her personal connection to the country. Married to a Ghanaian, with two children and a family home near Accra, Kristine draws inspiration from the rhythms of daily life, the region’s cultural richness, and its striking coastal landscapes. These semi‑abstracted narrative pieces merge figurative and abstract elements with cultural motifs, exploring identity, belonging, cultural memory, and the ongoing impact of colonisation and environmental injustice.
Running alongside this is an enduring thread that has shaped her creativity since childhood: equestrian art. Since studying advanced‑level oil painting in 2020, Kristine has developed a distinctive voice that moves confidently between these two bodies of work.
Bringing dynamic energy and emotional resonance to every subject, Kristine’s contribution to contemporary art has been recognised with numerous awards, including:
• Winner: VAA Professional & Established Artist of the Year 2025
• Highly‑Commended Finalist: British Art Prize 2023
• Finalist: VAA Professional Artist Award 2023
• Winner: SAA Professional Artist of the Year 2023
