Kevin Jones graduated from Blackpool and the Fylde college having achieved a first class honours degree in Scientific and Natural History Illustration. He has a passion for art, science and wildlife and uses his artwork as a way of conveying this emotion. He specialises in bird art and likes to capture his subject in it's natural environment creating compositions that are exciting and evocative.
Kevin illustrated 'The best birdwatching sites in North Wales' in 2007 for Buckingham Press and has exhibited work at the National Exhibition of Wildlife Art 2007 and 2008. He also exhibited his work at the D and AD show at Earls Court, London in 2008.
In September 2008 Kevin held a stand at the Bakewell festival of bird art in Derbyshire where he displayed original artwork, prints and greetings cards. All of which can be purchased by contacting Kevin.
In July 2009, Kevin was awarded wildlife artist of the year by Wildscape magazine for his painting, 'Wading Avocet' and then won the dusk to dawn category in BBC wildlife magazines Wildlife artist of the year competition with 'Ruffs at Sunset'. This can be seen in the August edition of the magazine out now.
