My paintings are inspired by my surroundings as they shift and change with the passing of the seasons. I find myself drawn to the built environment. Regency buildings, Cotswold villages, Cornish harbours and the magical appearance of carousels and buildings against a starlit sky are just some of mynfavourite images. I carry a camera and a notebook on my travels, and these images form the basis of my work. I'm at my happiest when working on a new piece, experimenting with a range of media to create innovative effects. Over the last 10 years I have had several successful solo exhibitions around the UK. Highly commended in a 2011 Broadway art competition I went on enter my first national competition, The Artist and Illustrator Magazine Artist of the Year 2014; I was shortlisted and invited to exhibit at the Mall Galleries in January 2015. I now exhibit with De Montfort Fine Art (Whitewall and Clarendon Galleries) across the UK and on cruise liners and have had a number of successful exhibitions with them.
