My name is Karen Dean, born in Leeds in 1961. I moved to Florida USA 1n 1981 returning back home to England with my two children in 1997.
Self taught artist currently celebrating the end of child rearing and enjoying the free time available now for creating artwork. I like to work in inks, acrylics and clay sculpture. Preferring to work from my imagination, I rarely plan or prepare anything in advance. My inspiration is from human nature and our connections to nature itself.
The majority of my work begins with a 'doodle' or a piece of clay which draws me in and takes me on a journey which may last for hours.
