My inspiration is derived primarily from the natural environment and the Cycladic island of Amorgos has been a rich source of inspiration for many pieces of my work. The magical landscape combines harmoniously with architectural structures presenting endless sources for artistic expression. A lemon tree, a goat nestling in the rocks and a cat crossing a sun dappled path, provide the starting point for some of my paintings and etchings. Animals living in harmony with their natural environment are particular subjects of interest.
The atmospheric quality of etching and aquatint is ideally suited to create mysterious prints, soft tonal changes and intricate details created by a myriad of lines describe the nature of my etching works. Fine Charbonel etching inks are used to print on handmade Fabriano paper.

Work is currently on show at the Aegialis Hotel and at the Gallery-Workshop in Ancient Corinth. Recently work has been featured in 'Artist & Illustrator'. Etching work was also recently exhibited at the 'Athens Printmaking' exhibition held at the Athens City Art Gallery. In 2007 a solo exhibition was held
in Athens.

Born in Liverpool and brought up in Cheshire I am now living and working in Athens, Greece. An art education led to a career in teaching art and design and art history. I am currently involved with my own artwork as well as examining and moderating for the International Baccalaureate Visual Arts programme.
