Jonathan Trim's work explores the landscape using the themes of estuaries and the remote areas of England. He uses a wide range of materials and techniques exploiting many aspects of mixed media.His paintings are often about places that he has known and explored over a long period of time.Some of these places he has known from childhood and therefore the works are imbued with a deep sense of time and place and memory. These are places that are revisited many times,often working in the location to capture the atmosphere and personal feelings associated with a particular environment. The results are paintings that are powerful in colour and texture and rich in personal emotional response.His work is held in private collections in the UK, USA, Spain, Italy, Holland, France, Oman and Canada. He has received a variety of awards and critical success.
