I am a "Lincolnshire yellowbelly" - born, educated and still living in the county. After leaving college I studied with the Open College of the Arts before setting up my own studio in 2002.
Colour and form are important to my work and I like to experiment with different media, styles and subjects. I also love the big Lincolnshire skies, wide variety of landscape and nature. Much of my work is developed from photographs I have taken which I like to digitally manipulate and collage, for different effects, before sketching and putting brush to canvas.
I hold an annual solo exhibition, regularly show work with other artists, open my studio as a member of Art on the Map and have paintings in private and corporate collections throughout this country and abroad.
Alongside my original paintings I produce giclee prints, cards and an increasing range of related products. Currently I am working on commissions, a new body of work for my next solo exhibition and exploring using my artwork on fabrics and textiles.
