I have exhibited widely in the UK . During the 1980s I studied under the American artist Jack Rutherford in Spain

I graduated in Fine Art from University of Coventry and PG Cert Fine Art from Birmingham City University . I am interested in cultural difference and similarity and a large body of my work has been influenced by my association with Egypt through family connections .I strive to bridge the gaps and misconceptions often permeated through media coverage etc . With these themes in mind I often use mixed and indigenous media .My background as a professional costume designer for film and television also influences these choices . I am experienced in giving Artist-led workshops in Museums/Schools/community settings . I have worked for Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery and The Equality & Human Rights Commission's Young Brits at Art . I am a qualified teacher of Art ; CRB checked and open to commission for Portraits / Workshops /Demonstrations .
