I am 36 years old and work as a health care assistant and find painting a nice way to relax and wind down from my busy day to day routine , I have always enjoyed drawing ,whilst on a break with family and visiting gorgeous places with interesting settings , pebbled walks and riversides, my two young daughters filled their pockets as children do with stones. I discovered the art of painting onto stones and later slate. It is a lovely way of working with natural products we all take for granted and making a piece of art from it to which several pieces also hold a special memory to myself as they have been picked from places visited .
