About this artwork

This original coloured pencil drawing explores the complexity of identity through a striking arrangement of interconnected faces, flowing contours, and vibrant colour contrasts. Rich magenta and violet tones weave through the composition, linking fragmented profiles and partial features in a visual meditation on selfhood, perception, and human connection. Set against an intricate backdrop of cascading turquoise patterns, the artwork creates a dynamic balance between individuality and unity.

The overlapping forms invite contemplation of the many roles, memories, and experiences that shape who we are. Each face appears both separate and connected, suggesting that identity is never singular but constantly evolving through relationships, reflection, and time. The bold use of colour and fluid line work creates movement throughout the composition, drawing the viewer deeper into its layered narrative.

Executed in coloured pencil with exceptional attention to detail, this contemporary figurative artwork combines elements of surrealism, abstraction, and modern portraiture. Perfect for collectors of contemporary art, abstract portrait enthusiasts, and lovers of thought-provoking wall décor, this original drawing offers both visual impact and intellectual depth. A compelling statement piece, it transforms any interior while encouraging reflection on the nature of self and human experience.
