This pastel artwork shows a view from Llanidloes in Wales across the countryside. I saw this photo many years ago at a craft market in Knighton and asked the photographer if I could use this image in an artwork.....I love the moody sky and sunlight on the fields below.....
This artwork was created using soft pastels and pastel pencils on Artspectrum Colourfix paper. The sharpened pencils create the detail and the background is blended using polystyrene sticks to give the three dimensional effect to the completed painting.
