I’m Halyna Burdulaniuk – a woman born in the heart of picturesque Ukraine, and an artist reborn in the majestic landscapes of Scotland. With a background in history and cultural studies, I hold a Master’s degree and spent many years as a university lecturer. Yet the love of art has been with me since childhood – a quiet passion that truly came to life when I moved to the United Kingdom.
Here, I found not only safety, but also inspiration. The wild beauty of the Scottish coast, the whispering of ancient forests, and the rhythm of the North Sea stir my imagination. The timeless presence of castles, ruins and sacred places fills me with a sense of belonging and creative freedom. Often, with eyes closed, I can feel echoes of the past – as though history itself is breathing around me.
My works explores this connection between memory and place. I experiment with different styles and materials, combining techniques to express the emotion behind each moment. Art, for me, is a language beyond words – a way to connect, to heal, and to share the unseen stories within us all
