I studied 'Fashion and Design' at Stafford Art College in the 70's.
I am the sole proprietor of an online retail handcrafted men's suit accessories business.
In autumn 2023 I was persuaded by my sister-in-law to attend an art class run by Clare Lord, a finalist of 'Landscape Artist of the Year'. Attending and being coached in this class gave me the confidence to pursue a life long ambition to become an artist.
In 2024 my first charcoal drawing 'Cornish Stone' was short listed for the 'Harley Open' out of 1200 entries.
In November 2024 I was thrilled to find my painting 'Lupins Seed Pods' was featured in the 'You Tell Us' section of the 'Artist and Illustrator Magazine'.
'Fab Foliage' was selected for the 2025 'The Artist and Leisure Painter' exhibition at 'Patchings Art Gallery'.
Also last year, 2025, my pencil drawing 'The Greenway Trail' was selected for the RBSA drawing exhibition. This year, 2026, my painting 'Entangled Fence' was exhibited at the RBSA gallery.
A date for your diary: I am exhibiting all my work to date at the 'Rose Paterson' Art Gallery, Weston Park, Stafford.
