My studies of the semi-rural welsh landscape where I now live, celebrate a environment where nature dominates; but the human spirit triumphs.
Although I am known for my distinct illustrative drawings of welsh landmarks- such as Cardiff Castle or Castle Coch- it is the Valleys recycled landscape and steadfast communities that cling to its hillsides that moves my pencil like no other.
I have a Fine Art BA(Hons), MA in furniture design and I am currently studying as a part time PhD student. I am a jobbing artist and designer with a growing giftware and stationery range with a specialist interest in the ACEO mini art format.
I work mainly in coloured and watercolour pencil but I also work with pastels and gouache. As a printmaker I focus on 3 colour reduction monotypes & linocuts.
I make work to commission for companies for special ranges, venues and events. I also work to commission for individuals to create bespoke artwork for special gifts for weddings and birthdays or original drawings.
